An Advanced Laparoscopic Gynecology Surgeries

From Feardom to Freedom

"Less Pain and Faster Recovery" - An Advanced Laparoscopic Gynecology Surgeries.
Laparoscopic surgery can be used to address a number of gynecologic conditions that used to require large incisions. Previously 80% of the surgeries had to be done by making big cuts in abdominal wall. Now In laparoscopic surgeries through small incision (1cm-0.5cm) long instrument introduced into the cavity and procedure is performed. But with all the new advance techniques available Laparoscopic removal of huge Fibroids upto 20cms with the maximum stay of 48hrs is the breakthrough in the field of Gynaec surgeries with minimal incision by morcillator.

Advantages of laparoscopic surgeries are:-
  • Less pain
  • Shorter recovery
  • Less scar
  • Less stay in hospital
Myths about it:-
  • Visualization of abdomen and pelvis is poor through laparoscope.
  • Surgery will be incomplete or less optimum.
  • Difficult cases like h/o previous surgeries, big fibroids and big ovarian mass cannot be performed through laparoscopy.
  • Laparoscopic surgeries are very difficult and time consuming.
  • Very obese and thin patient can’t undergone laparoscopic surgeries.

Actually laparoscopy provides better visualization when compared to the view obtained via an open approach. Prior to surgery, abdominal cavity inflated with Co2 and video laparoscopy provides excellent magnification and identification of viscera in whole cavity. While in open surgery all structure lying on top of one another. So enter into the new world of advance surgeries without fear through small hole and live a healthy life with broader horizons.
